Flower Shop NYC: Your Local New York Florist for Same-Day Flower Delivery Across All Five Boroughs

Flower Shop NYC is a New York flower shop that designs every bouquet in its own studio and delivers it the same day anywhere in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island. Fresh stems, real florists, and NYC flower delivery that arrives the day you order it.

A Local NYC Flower Shop, Not a Website With New York in the Name

Flower Shop NYC is a local NYC florist. That distinction matters more in New York than in any other city, because a large share of the sites that appear when you search for a florist in New York are order-gatherers: they take your money, pass the order to a shop they have never visited, and hope it turns out like the photo. We are the shop. Our floral designers arrange the flowers, our drivers carry them, and the bouquet you see on this page is the bouquet that arrives at the door.

We should also clear up one thing early. We are a flower shop. There is a bar on the Lower East Side that shares our name, and it is a different place. If you are looking for a New York flower delivery service that can put fresh peonies on a desk in Midtown or at a bedside in Mount Sinai today, you are in the right place.

Same-Day Flower Delivery in NYC, the Way the City Really Works

New York flower delivery has very little to do with the flowers and a great deal to do with the building. A bouquet that is beautiful in the shop is worthless if it sits unclaimed in a mailroom or wilts on a stoop in July. Every same-day flower delivery from Flower Shop NYC is handled by a driver who knows the difference.

• Doorman and concierge buildings: the arrangement is handed to the desk and logged under the recipient's name, and you are told when it has been received.
• Walk-ups and brownstones: we contact the recipient before the driver leaves, so nobody is surprised and nothing is left outside.
• Hospitals: we deliver to NYU Langone, Mount Sinai, Lenox Hill, NewYork-Presbyterian, Bellevue, Maimonides and the other major New York hospitals. Some intensive-care units do not allow fresh flowers, so we check first and switch to a plant or a bedside arrangement when we need to.
• Hotels: flowers are left with the front desk under the guest's name, from the Plaza to a boutique hotel in Williamsburg.
• Offices: delivered to reception with the company name on the card, whether the office is in the Financial District, Hudson Yards or Downtown Brooklyn.

Same-day flower delivery is available seven days a week across all five boroughs, and next-day or scheduled delivery can be chosen for any future date. On the busiest days of the year, such as Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and the week before Christmas, ordering ahead is the difference between the bouquet you wanted and the bouquet that was left.

NYC Flower Delivery Across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island

A single afternoon of deliveries from our NYC flower shop can cover a townhouse on the Upper East Side, a walk-up in Astoria, a loft in Tribeca, a brownstone in Park Slope, a nursing home in Riverdale and a house on Staten Island. Flower delivery in New York is a logistics problem before it is a design problem, and we treat it that way.

• Manhattan flower delivery: Upper East Side, Upper West Side, Midtown, Chelsea, the West Village, SoHo, Tribeca, the Financial District, Harlem and Washington Heights.
• Brooklyn flower delivery: Williamsburg, Park Slope, Brooklyn Heights, DUMBO, Bushwick, Bay Ridge, Fort Greene and Crown Heights.
• Queens flower delivery: Astoria, Long Island City, Forest Hills, Flushing, Jackson Heights and Bayside.
• Bronx flower delivery: Riverdale, Fordham, Pelham Bay, Throgs Neck and Morris Park.
• Staten Island flower delivery: St. George, Todt Hill, Great Kills and Tottenville.

If the recipient is in New York City, we deliver to them.

Fresh Flowers, Hand-Arranged by New York Floral Designers

Fresh flowers in NYC come through the wholesale houses on West 28th Street, the Flower District that has supplied the city's florists for more than a century, and direct from growers in Ecuador, Colombia, Holland and the Hudson Valley. We buy the way a New York florist should: early, often and in season.

Roses come in as tight buds so they open in the recipient's vase rather than ours. Tulips are Dutch. Peonies are at their best from May through early July and imported in the off-season. Hydrangeas, dahlias and sunflowers carry the late summer; ranunculus and anemones carry the winter; and orchids arrive as living plants that keep flowering for months after a cut bouquet is gone.

Every stem is cut to order, hydrated and delivered in water. If your flowers do not stay fresh for a full week, we replace them.

Flowers for Every New York Occasion

A New York flower shop learns quickly that no two orders have the same reason behind them. Each collection below is designed for same-day flower delivery anywhere in NYC.

• Birthday flowers: bright hand-tied bouquets and vase arrangements for apartments, offices and restaurant tables across the city.
• Anniversary and romantic flowers: long-stem roses, garden roses and peonies with a handwritten card, delivered to the door or to the dinner table.

• Wedding and event flowers: bridal bouquets, ceremony pieces and reception centerpieces planned with our designers.

How to Choose a Flower Shop in NYC

New York has more florists per square mile than almost any city in the world, which makes choosing one harder, not easier. A few things worth knowing before you order flowers in New York:

• A real shop with real designers. If a florist cannot tell you where the flowers are being arranged, they are probably not arranging them. A local NYC florist designs in its own studio and can show you the room.
• Designers, not a catalog. National services sell the same bouquet in Dallas and Manhattan. A New York flower shop works from what came through the Flower District that morning, which is why the arrangement looks like the photo.
• Knowledge of the buildings. Doormen, walk-ups, hospital wards and hotel desks each need a different approach. A florist that has delivered to them for years gets the flowers into the recipient's hands; a courier app leaves them in a lobby.
• Honesty about the season. Peonies in February and lilac in September are possible but expensive. A good NYC florist tells you what is at its best right now and what will still look good next weekend.

Flower Shop NYC was built around those four things, which is why New Yorkers who have been let down by a wire service tend to stay once they find us.

Caring for Cut Flowers in a New York Apartment

New York apartments are hard on flowers. Radiator heat, small rooms and windowsills that bake in the afternoon shorten the life of any bouquet. Keep the vase away from the radiator and out of direct sun, change the water every two days, and trim the stems at an angle each time you do. Peonies, hydrangeas and tulips drink the most water; roses, lilies and orchids last the longest. Tulips keep growing after they are cut and will lean toward the window, so turn the vase every day. Ask our designers which arrangement will still look good on Sunday and they will tell you.

Weekly Flowers for Homes and Offices in NYC

A flower subscription from Flower Shop NYC puts fresh, seasonal stems on your table or in your reception every week or every other week, delivered on the day you choose. Change the recipient, skip a week or pause at any time. Businesses across Manhattan and Brooklyn use our weekly office flowers for lobbies, conference rooms and client gifting, with a designer who remembers what the last arrangement looked like.
